What size dispenser do I need?
FluidTran offers standard sizes with capacities of 2 gallons, 5 gallons, 20 gallons and 25 gallons. The 2 gallon dispenser has a sturdy handle for easy portability. Both the 5 gallon and 20 gallon dispensers are placed on carts for easy mobility. The 25 gallon dispenser can be truck mounted for on site mobile servicing. FluidTran can also custom design dispensers or systems for any capacity size required.
Why is fluid type so important?
Certain fluids are highly corrosive and can quickly disintegrate particular materials used in seals, hoses and other components. FluidTran carefully matches all component parts with designated fluid type when assembling dispensers and systems to insure our products operate and perform to expected standards.
Can I use different fluids in the same dispenser?
Per manufacturers specifications and regulations, different fluid types should never be used with, or mixed together in, the same dispenser. FluidTran dispensers are designed and assembled specific to the fluid type being serviced as identified by the color coded placard affixed to the front of the dispenser. Changing or mixing fluids within a FluidTran dispenser is strictly prohibitive. Any such action will void the FluidTran warranty and may cause a malfunction of aircraft systems.
What parts are available?
A wide variety of parts are compatible with FluidTran equipment and systems. Please refer to the FluidTran Product List. If you do not find what you are looking for, contact Tom Fitzgerald, Director of Sales, at 954-803-7519 or send your request to info@fluidtran.com.
Can I get a different length hose?
FluidTran uses a standard 7 foot hose on its 2, 5 and 20 gallon dispensers and a standard 25 foot hose on its 25 gallon system. Customers may request any length hose with any product type, which would result in a minor change in the product pricing.
What is closed containment?
Closed containment refers to the use of a FluidTran Transfer Pack and Bung Kit for transferring fluids from the bulk storage container to the FluidTran dispensing equipment and the addition of couplers on the FluidTran dispensing equipment, which are used for refilling the dispensers and for attaching to the aircraft system being serviced. The result is a closed-looped system from the bulk container all the way to the aircraft without spillage while eliminating the potential for fluid contamination that can be prevalent with open dispensing systems. The result is a significant reduction in overall maintenance costs due to reduction of lost oils, improvement in efficiencies, reduction of environmental liabilities and improved worker safety.
Please refer to Open vs Closed-containment for more detailed information or contact your FluidTran sales representative.
Does the dispenser require maintenance servicing?
Yes. FluidTran recommends regular replacement of seals and hoses to insure the equipment performs at peak operating capabilities. FluidTran offers a Provisioning Agreement where regular servicing can be scheduled with replacement parts automatically shipped and billed. As long as our customers have an active Provisioning Agreement in place, FluidTran will honor the original warranty guaranteeing the workmanship of our equipment.
Please refer to the Provisioning Agreement for more information or contact your FluidTran sales representative.
What kind of warranty comes with FluidTran dispensers?
FluidTran offers a standard one-year warranty on all equipment and systems shipped. We also offer an extended warranty through our Provisioning Agreements.
